A comprehensive remodelling of a Victorian terraced property in Oakley Street in Chelsea. The property spreads over three floors plus a full terrace at roof level overlooking the city.

One of the key features in the property is the new three story floating staircase leading to the roof terrace. The terrace is equipped with an outdoor living and dining area, hot tub, BBQ and grass play area for the owners' dogs. Other highlights of the house are a three storey bookcase that plays the role of its balustrade, a 4.5m long openable rooflight to the roof terrace and a residential goods lift.

Originally the stairs were fragmented into two sets making the circulation very complicated. The rooms were small and not well served. A rear extension created the necessary landing space for a single flight stair that is repeated in all floors, leaving the rest of the space in favour of the main living areas. Open living multipurpose rooms were created at first and third floor levels with the master suite utilising the whole of the second floor level.
