This new residential development, designed by architects from Foster Partners & Heatherwick Studios, consists of nine apartments set over two buildings with two retail units wrapped in a unique brick patterned façade. The building has become known affectionately by locals as the Battenberg building. Internally the exposed concrete frame and an extra high exposed ply doors deliver a trendy East London space. A bomb-damaged site was previously used as a dumping ground has become a poster child for the dynamic regeneration of Walthamstow.
